The Sky: A Childhood Curiosity That Never Left Me

Since childhood, I’ve been deeply drawn to the sky. Every time I looked up, it stirred something restless and beautiful within me—a quiet urge to understand it.
Why is the sky blue?
What lies above it?
And above that?
Is there an endpoint to the sky at all?

These questions would constantly move through my mind, layering one over the other. As a child, I never found their answers. Growing up, science did explain many of them—logically, factually. But on a spiritual level, I believe I’m still standing between those same questions, still searching, still wondering.

No matter the time of day—morning, afternoon, evening, or night—whenever I looked at the sky, I felt an unspoken connection. As if the sky was asking me to pause. As if it knew things about me that I hadn’t even said out loud. It felt like a silent guide, gently reminding me that some things don’t need to be rushed or controlled.

I’ve always felt that only two things have the power to shape my mood effortlessly: the weather and music. And the sky somehow holds both—the rhythm of change and the emotion of stillness.

I still vividly remember a March afternoon, around 4 p.m. I was sitting quietly, gazing at the sky. The blue felt endless, and the white clouds looked so soft and alive that I wished time would stop right there. For those moments, everything else disappeared—my year-end exams, the pressure, the anxiety. Nothing mattered except that view and the calm it wrapped me in.

Sometimes I feel that if anyone has truly understood me, it has been nature—more than people ever have. And I believe that’s true.

Even today, after so many years, whenever I step outside and consciously connect with nature, it seems to understand my state of mind. It senses my mood, reflects my struggles, and somehow offers solutions—quietly, without words. It gives me strength.
I don’t know whether I manifest this connection or simply surrender to it—but one thing I know for sure: many of my problems began to ease only after I allowed myself to reconnect with nature.

And in the end, I truly believe this—
No matter how hard humans try to beautify this Earth manually, we can never surpass the creativity and innovation of nature. Nature has created every tiny detail—humans, life, and the world itself—with such grace and harmony that no human can replicate it. Not even in this age of artificial intelligence.

Nature remains the greatest artist.
And the sky—my first teacher.
